Every spring, we try and make Nettle & Ginger ice cream or Nettle sorbet using nettles freshly harvested from the farm. They're incredibly popular flavours but to meet demand we need to harvest a lot more than we can on our own. So come and lend a hand!

About the event
Join us for a relaxing afternoon on the farm on Monday 20th from 2pm helping us bring in the harvest of nettles we need to make our ultra-seasonal Nettle & Ginger ice cream or Nettle Sorbet. Despite the thousands of nettle plants springing up around the farm at this time of year, we simply don't have enough hands to harvest enough of them and so are hoping to persuade some of you to come and lend a hand for an hour or two, as many hands make light work!
It’s not just about picking plants though - it's a chance to do something a bit different, reconnect with nature, learn something new, and enjoy the simple pleasure of working outdoors in farmland completely free of harmful pesticides and herbicides. You’ll discover the many surprising uses of this wild and wonderful plant, meet like-minded folks, and leave with a fresh appreciation…
