Our beef silverside joint is a classic cut that comes from the hind quarter of our pasture-fed cattle. This joint gets its name from the silvery membrane that covers its internal surface, giving it a unique appearance. Perfect for a delicious Sunday roast, as it is lean and flavourful.
All our beef is raised right here on our organic farm in North Aston, Oxfordshire. Our cows are pasture-fed, which means that they're out in the fields for almost all of the year. We bring them in for a few months over winter to protect our soils: when we do, they are fed hay and silage from our fields.
Our beef is slaughtered near the farm (ensuring the animals have the best end-of-life experience they can), hung on the bone for a minimum of 21 days, and then carefully prepared by the expert butchers at Mellow Meats.

Comes frozen. Our joints vary in weight depending on the size of the animal and the butcher's mood that day, so what you receive might vary slightly from the advertised weight and price. We try to keep these variations to a minimum!
